What is the LGPD?
The Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD, Law 13,709/2018) is Brazilian legislation governing the processing of personal data, both offline and online, by individuals or organizations, public or private.
The LGPD aims to protect fundamental rights to freedom and privacy, giving people more control over their personal data.

Your rights under the LGPD

2. Rectification
Request correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data.
3. Anonymization, blocking, or erasure
Request anonymization, blocking, or erasure of data that is unnecessary, excessive, or processed in violation of the LGPD.
4. Data portability
Request portability of your data to another product or service provider.
5. Erasure
Request deletion of data processed on the basis of your consent.
6. Information about sharing
Obtain information about the public and private organizations with which we have shared your data.
7. Information on refusal to consent
Be informed about the option not to provide consent and the consequences of a refusal.
8. Withdrawal of consent
Revoke your consent at any time through a clear request.
9. Objection
Object to processing that relies on one of the legal bases that do not require consent.
10. Review of solely automated decisions
Request review of decisions made solely on the basis of automated processing of personal data.

We will respond within 15 days, as required by the LGPD. In complex cases, this period may be extended by another 15 days with a justification.

As required by the LGPD, we have appointed a DPO (Encarregado) responsible for:
- Receiving complaints and communications from data subjects
- Providing guidance and taking appropriate follow-up
- Communicating with Brazil’s National Data Protection Authority (ANPD)
- Advising staff and partners on data protection practices

Legal bases for processing
We process your personal data under the following legal grounds set out in the LGPD:
- Consent: When you give your express consent
- Performance of a contract: To deliver the services you requested
- Legal obligation: To comply with laws and regulations
- Legitimate interest: For our legitimate interests, where they do not override your rights
- Protection of life: To protect life or physical safety
- Health care: For procedures performed by health professionals
Security incidents
If a security incident may create relevant risk or harm to data subjects, we commit to:
- Notify Brazil’s ANPD in a reasonable timeframe
- Notify affected data subjects about the incident
- Describe the technical and security measures used to protect the data
- Detail the risks related to the incident
- Explain the reasons for any delay, if notice is not immediate
- Describe measures taken or planned to reverse or mitigate harm
International data transfers
Some of our service providers may be located outside Brazil. When we transfer personal data to other countries, we ensure an adequate level of protection or put appropriate safeguards in place, as required by the LGPD.
