See u app builds an innovative solution to mobility limitations for people with visual impairment, using advanced technology including artificial intelligence, voice recognition, image analysis and a virtual assistant.
Since 2009 we have worked to improve the lives of more than 40 million people who cannot see, because we believe people change the world.
LGPD compliance
To comply with the Brazilian General Data Protection Act (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados – LGPD), See u app has adopted technical, administrative, legal and internal policy measures, as well as guidelines aligned with that law’s principles around information security and data protection.

Requested permissions and reasons
2.1 Audio permissions
- RECORD_AUDIO: required for recognising voice commands
- MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS: fine-tune audio for accessibility
- RECEIVE_MEDIA_BUTTON: capture media hardware key events for hands-free use
2.2 Camera
- CAMERA: capture images for analysis and live description
- Hardware camera feature: check that a camera is available on the device
2.3 Storage
- READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: read and write config and cache (where applicable)
- READ_MEDIA_IMAGES/VIDEO/AUDIO: media files on Android 13+ where required
2.4 Network
- INTERNET: reach AI and content services
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: know whether the device is online
2.5 Location
- ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: turn-by-turn and nearby services
- ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION: some features in the background, when allowed
2.6 System
- SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW: overlay on top of other apps when enabled
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE: keep long-running work active
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: important notifications
- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: start components after a device reboot, where required
Collection and processing of data
3.1 Data collected
- •Voice commands: processed on device and in the cloud to understand your requests
- •Camera frames: processed temporarily to generate descriptions

- •Usage preferences: accessibility and personalisation settings
- •Interaction logs: to improve the product and fix issues
- •Authentication: sign-in, premium features and account sync where applicable

- Map providers: for map and location features you enable
- Auth providers: for secure sign-in, where you use them
- Technology partners: only to deliver the services we contract them for

Artificial intelligence and machine learning
See U uses advanced machine learning and AI for image understanding, voice assistance and the virtual helper. We train and refine models on anonymised or de-identified data when possible, and we apply ethical guidelines for our field.
Your rights related to automated decisions and AI
- Explainability: where the law provides, a human-readable explanation of significant automated effects
- Contestation: ways to question or review outcomes that matter to you
- Human review: request review by a qualified person where provided by law
- Opt-out: turn off optional AI features where the product allows it
- Configurability: adjust sensitivity and related settings where we expose them
Children and young people under 18
Minimum age: 13, with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, where the product requires a profile.
Extra safeguards (where the law and product apply)
- Sensitive data: stricter rules for data about children and young people, as required by law
- Minimal collection: only what we need to provide a safe, age-appropriate service
- Shorter retention where the law and our product design allow it
- Content filters: automated and policy-based effort to keep harmful content out, where in scope

Parents and guardians may request access, correction, deletion and portability of a minor’s data at any time, including via privacidade@seeu.digital, subject to verifiable contact and legal checks.

- • High-contrast and dark themes where the OS and app support them

- • Reduced motion, where the OS and app support it
Governing law and forum
These terms and all matters arising from them are governed by Brazilian law, in particular but not only:
- General Data Protection Act (LGPD) – Law No. 13,709/2018
- Brazilian Civil Internet Framework (Marco Civil) – Law No. 12,965/2014
- Consumer Protection Code (CDC) – Law No. 8,078/1990
- Brazilian Law on the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (LBI) – Law No. 13,146/2015
The parties elect the courts of Maceió, State of Alagoas, Brazil, to settle disputes arising from these terms, to the extent permitted, regardless of any other more privileged forum.
