We help blind people “see” the world
Picture a world where 40 million people see nothing at all and 250 million are nearly blind. That world is real — we live in it today.
The WHO estimates 40 million people are blind and more than 250 million have severe vision limitations that keep them from many everyday tasks because of their vision.
Worldwide who need assistive technology
People with major visual limitations
Across 22 countries
We are the eyes of millions of blind people and the voice that calls for a new life. At See U we bring vision, independence, and inclusion to millions who are blind or have severe visual disability. You read that right. We help blind people “see” the world around them with technology: echolocation, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence.
How See U works
We built a metaverse for people with visual disabilities. In that alternate world, blind people become heroes like Daredevil in Marvel comics and films.
Echolocation: seeing with your ears
We use a sonar-style sense to perceive and interact with the world in a unique way. Our solution detects, recognizes, and predicts objects, obstacles, risks, movement, and actions.
Blind people can ride a bike, play football, walk city streets and do much more with echolocation. We did not invent the skill — it already exists. We turn a biological ability into technology.
"We use the same technology self-driving cars use to move on their own. The difference: cars turn camera input into code; we turn camera input into sound so blind people can “see” with their ears."
Sensors, cameras, and object recognition
The app uses on-device sensors and cameras to scan the environment in real time. It then labels objects, obstacles, and other key elements around you.
Visual recognition: objects, people, text, color, money, animals, plants, and scenes
Face recognition: known people and expressions (joy, sadness, surprise)
Text reading: instant OCR for books, signs, documents, packaging, menus, and handwriting
Smart audio guidance
With mapping and recognition, the app delivers audio prompts such as:
"Turn left in 3 meters"
"Obstacle ahead, move to the right"
"Stop! Stairs down ahead"
"Go straight for 5 meters"
"Door on your right"
"Chair ahead"
As you get closer, the app can name the object right away.
Encoded sound cues (Morse-style)
A series of coded sounds — a Morse-like system adapted for blind users — is played to deliver commands and directions efficiently.
This is faster than normal speech, so users can receive guidance instantly.
Coded sound patterns alert you to imminent obstacles, direction changes, and other critical information without waiting for full spoken words, keeping navigation and interaction quick.
Smart haptic feedback
Alongside audio, the app uses vibration as an extra layer of alert. For example:
- •A stronger or sustained buzz can mean an obstacle is very close
- •Different vibration patterns can map to different turn directions
- •Unique pulses for notifications and confirmations
AI and machine learning
The AI keeps learning your movement habits and preferences so, over time, guidance can become more intuitive and personalized to how you move.
See U’s AI gives clear, precise voice guidance and can also understand your spoken commands — a two-way, natural interaction with the app.
Full voice control of other apps
You can fully control other apps with voice: food delivery, shopping, ride-hailing, payments — without touching the screen.
The app reads the interface out loud so you can make informed choices from detailed audio feedback.
Example: Hungry for a burger? Ask See U to open a delivery app, search for burgers, filter by price, fee, ETA, and rating. It reads ingredients, places the order, and pays — all by voice.
Real-time objects and actions
See U can recognize objects and action cues in real time. Point the camera at a banana and ask if it is ripe for an immediate answer.
That level of detail opens new autonomy: food, tools, and everyday decisions become easier.
Maps and GPS
Outdoors and in large areas, the app works with mapping and GPS for walking routes and directions — for example between office towers in a corporate campus.
You get indoor navigation in malls, airports, hotels, hospitals, and events, with floor maps and smart routes to a destination.
